Recreating History on a Smaller Scale
What originally began as a hobby, we have been building small scale models of the 1922 JI Case Hay Press and providing blueprints to fellow enthusiasts since 1989. Based in Door County, WI, we continue to deliver high quality finished machines and detailed blueprints that have impressed customers for over 25 years.

The overall dimensions of the 1/3 scale baler are 62"L x 34"H x 24"W and will make a bale that is 5"W x 7"H x 13"L. All bales are hand-tied with wire or twine.

Construction
|
The bale chamber is constructed of 16 gauge steel and riveted to 1" x 1" x 1/8" angle with 3/16" diameter cold rivets. We use oil impregnated bronze bushings in our flange bearings with grease fittings provided, which are bolted to 3/16" thick side plates. Top and bottom spring tension adjustment allow for proper bale firmness. Close tolerances are held between the board dropper, folder and packer board to provide smooth timing and efficient operation. Balers are double-geared and are mounted on 3/4" diameter shafting. Grease fittings or oil holes are provided where necessary.
Wheels are fabricated from 2"W x 3/16"H rolled steel flat bar with six welded in spokes. All welding is dine with a TIG welder (heli-arc) to prevent weld splatter. All wood parts are made with hard woods and sealed before painting. |
Painting
|
All baler parts are sand blasted before painting and are offered in three different color schemes:
Alternative color schemes are available at an additional cost. Contact us to discuss customized options. |
